This workshop is designed as a quick, focused ‘blitz’ of time management techniques to show you how to get on top of your priorities and diary.

As preparation for this session, we ask everyone attending to:

  1. Complete a time log for a typical working week.
  2. Bring details of their job role and reporting structure.
  3. Bring a list of their key job objectives.
  4. Be prepared to discuss and explore their current time management issues.

Please note that each session will be customised in order to focus on the areas that will be most useful to the particular attendees on that day.

If you feel that you would like to cover this content in more detail our 1 day ‘Introduction To Time Management’ training course may be a better choice for you.

Each workshop will typically cover the following areas:

  • The paradox of time: We cannot manage time so what do we need to manage?
  • Comparing a typical week with an ideal week.
  • Why is it that we “lose” time? What are your time vampires and how can you deal with them?
  • Your values and their impact on your time management.
  • Which are the areas of your work where you most want to feel more in control of?
  • Prioritising and task management techniques (including the Eisenhower matrix).
  • The 4 D’s (Do, Defer, Delegate, and Delete) and how to delegate well.
  • Keeping track of your tasks and your progress.
  • Your plan moving forward.
